Using Barbecue for Good

Giving people from any background a new purpose in life.

Deep in any culture is a fondness for barbecue, it brings people together and gives anyone an essential skill to survive. Barbecue has so many positive benefits that can lead to improved mental health, employment, starting your own business or becoming a weekend pitmaster at home with family and friends.

Whatever your reason, we can guarantee that your journey is far from over. There is no better feeling than having purpose and a sense of belonging in life.

Supporting our next generation of Pitmasters and Barbecue workforce.

There are limited options for young people to gain specialised skills in barbecuing in Sydney. We aim to fill the gap in the market to offer support and mentorship while teaching the art of smoking.

Raising awareness for mental health in Australian men.

It is clear that men find it tougher to share their problems. More than ever the feeling of isolation and loneliness plays a big part to depression and anxiety that has lead so many good men down a dark path of no return.

Our plan is to provide barbecue as an outlet for men to feel safe and supported to reach out for help through our barbecue meetups. We will introduce Mental Health Ambassadors and provide essential information for anyone seeking help.

Why Men?

  • Men make up an average seven out of every nine suicides every day in Australia.

  • Suicide is the number one killer in men under 44 years of age.

  • Construction workers are 70% more likely to commit suicide.

The sad truth is that many men feel alone. There is no place to turn to or feel safe to ask for help. Unfortunately this leads to depression, anxiety, body dysmorphia and the list goes on.

We are here to help, to be kind and to listen. We promise to create a network of mental health changemakers.
